Raisons d'Etre

"The human body essentially recreates itself every six months. Nearly every cell of hair and skin and bone dies and another is directed to its former place. You are not who you were last November."

- Donald Miller (via larmoyante)

"Human beings are ultimately nothing but carriers-passageways- for genes. They ride us into the ground like racehorses from generation to generation. Genes don’t think about what constitutes good or evil. They don’t care whether we are happy or unhappy. We’re just means to an end for them. The only thing they think about is what is most efficient for them."

amazing.

I came home from work this evening and looked out my living room window to see some dude in front of our apartment building with this crazy contraption. I was curious so I went to investigate. It’s apparently a telescope with a projector, so we were able to see the Venus transit that happened tonight. It’s my daily dose of nerdy and I love it.
