What’s your real name? Kate.
What is your quarterlife crisis? An abbreviated explanation of the story behind my URL can be found here.
How old are you? 26. It’s terrifying.
Where are you from? Chicago suburbs born and raised. I’ve moved back and forth between the city and back home to the ‘burbs for the past 3 years, but now I’m back on the North side of the city.
What do you do? I am an academic advisor at a Chicago college. I am also graduate student (you can read more about that here).
What did you go to school for? My undergraduate degree is in communications, dance, and psychology. I then did a year of physical therapy grad school and am now pursuing a masters in higher education administration.
Are you straight? Yes.
Where do you want to be in 5 years? I will either be in my same position, or working at a medical school or performing arts higher education institution, in a way that allows me to work closely with students, be creative, and is rewarding. I could also be working on Ph.D., so who knows.
What are your other blogs? I have many, but only two are actually active - my grad school adventures blog, and my new (as of 1/2013) personal blog katerinabeth. I have four others but never update them. If you’re really curious let me know.
Do you have Pinterest or Instagram? Yes, I do. You can find me on Pinterest here, and Instagram here. My instagram is private, though, so I likely won’t accept your request unless I can tell who you are by your instagram profile, or unless you send me a message and tell me you requested me/your username. Even though I post most of my instagram photos on my personal blog anyway, I do sometimes take photos that would reveal information I’d prefer to keep to a controlled group of people (e.g. specifically where I work, live, spend a lot of time).
