but if I had missed one more question I would have. That’s okay, I’ll take my 70% (missed 15 questions). I was looking at the answer key they gave us today and out of the first 15 questions, I missed 13…..the rest of the test I was awesome. So basically I don’t know anything about histology, which I knew going into it….I kinda figured there’d only be like 4 histology questions because it wasn’t the main focus of that section - I guess I was wrong about that.
Oh well, hopefully histology won’t come up very much anymore, and the rest of it I have down. I think.
Physiology exam tomorrow. This one will suck majorly. According to the second year students literally everyone fails the first physiology exam. At least I’m expecting it. We’re all make plans to go drink after the test, and my gym membership starts tomorrow so I can go workout my frustration.
Britney Spears from the “Me Against the Music” video
Some incarnation of Lady GaGa (Black leotard/belt/etc)
I have a very tacky 80s long sleeve, stirrup unitard that I kinda really want to wear, but I’m not sure what to do with it other than Elastigirl. Suggestions would be appreciated. I’ll probably have two nights to wear a costume so I can potentially do two costumes.
That I start watching my Friends Thanksgiving episodes dvd on repeat all the time. (I own all 10 seasons, but I love the Turkey Day episodes the most, so I ripped them to my computer and put them all on one DVD so I can watch them back to back. Not totally illegal since I actually paid for all 10 seasons and I’m only doing it for myself lol).
But yeah, I worked a race this morning that benefits an animal shelter (there were 1800 dogs there! Some adoptable, but mostly walkers/runners brought their own dogs). But it was freezing and fall is definitely here! It got me in the mood to watch Thanksgiving episodes, and drink tea and cider.
I have my first real exam in grad school on Tuesday in anatomy, and then another one in physiology on Friday. I haven’t studied for anatomy yet, and I’ve been productively procrastinating instead.
I woke up at 6:15 this morning out of habit. So far I have:
loaded and started the dishwasher
made a hair appointment
refolded everything in my workout clothing drawer
took the bus to go grocery shopping
put away said groceries, and reorganized the fridge
put away the dishes
put in a load of laundry
checked email and tumblr incessantly
I may fail out of grad school, but at least I was productive? While at the store I bought these new Pillsbury easy bake mini-brownie things (just add water) that have raspberry filling. I’m going to make them after I fail exams this week to make myself feel better.
And the weather is perfect today. I want to go outside and play instead of doing work.
This has been way too stressful. I’ve changed my mind several times (thanks to my parents informing me I can’t take my car)…settled for an allegedly great hospital in Springfield (the state capitol). It’ll be interesting?
We selected our random numbers today to pick our first clinical internship location. I want to do mine in acute care (i.e. ICU, surgical patients, etc.) because it’s what I like the least so I want to get it over with (plus this is a shorter clinical than the other ones).
Should I go to the hospital near my hometown (like a 40 minute drive), so I can live and eat for free? Or do I want to go someplace totally random (Colorado Springs, random town in Vermont near the Canadian border, or in Oregon?)
I’ve only lived in Illinois (specifically, I’ve only lived within an hour of Chicago), so I’m kinda torn….if I’m going to go out of state and I end up hating it, it’d be better to do it this time when it’s only 6 weeks instead of 13 weeks. But it’d be wise to save as much money as I can now, too.
Hardcore studying for anatomy and physiology….first exams next week and I have to do well. I will be dead to the internet for the next hour and a half, when I will briefly check up on my usual sites and then go to bed.
It’s the week of premieres! HIMYM is on now….so is DWTS and House (those will have to be On Demand or Hulu’d later). Glee tomorrow. My Generation, Greys, Private Practice, and Big Bang Theory Thursday. Ahhhhh!
